Punjab Kings: The Red Brigade of IPL

Punjab Kings (PBKS), formerly known as Punjab Kings, have been a staple IPL franchise since the league’s inception in 2008. Despite their strong starts in some seasons, the franchise is still chasing its first IPL trophy.

PBKS’ best campaigns include the inaugural season in 2008, finishing 3rd, and recent strong performances under K.L. Rahul, notably in 2023 and 2025 when they reached the playoffs.

Throughout its history, PBKS has relied on a mix of experienced internationals and emerging Indian talent. Key players like Yuvraj Singh, Glenn Maxwell, K.L. Rahul, Shikhar Dhawan have consistently delivered memorable performances for the team.

Although PBKS has yet to win an IPL title, the team remains competitive, always in contention for playoffs, and continues to nurture future cricket stars. The franchise aims to finally capture its maiden IPL trophy in upcoming seasons, including 2026.
